The JET Oscillating Edge Sander, model number 708447 OES-80CS 6-Inch 1-1/2 HP, 115/230-Volt 1-Phase, combines accuracy and durability in a well-designed package. The motor power is transmitted to the 6 x 89 inch-long abrasive belt through a 4-1/2-inch diameter, rubber-covered aluminum drum, resulting in a belt speed of 3900 SFPM. The oscillating action of the sander operates with a 1/2-inch stroke that oscillates 108 times per minute, preventing loading of the sandpaper and reducing heat buildup to prevent burning. Quick belt changes are made possible with a lever-operated tension release, and the top-mounted belt tracking system is easily adjustable. The cast-iron table measures 30 x 10 inches and can be adjusted up and down for precise alignment of the workpiece.

To keep your workspace clean, the sander includes a dust port and a belt guard system to focus the vacuum power of your dust collector on the belt. The OES-80CS is also covered by a five-year warranty and includes an all-steel enclosed base cabinet for support and storage.

The new JET OES-80CS 89x6" oscillating edge sander is powered by a 1 1/2HP 1ph TEFC motor and is pre-wired 115V. It has a 32" x 7" cast iron table that will adjust up or down and the fence is 24" x 4". The oscillating head can be used either horizontally or vertically and is very easy to adjust by releasing the pivot lever allowing you to sand bevels, angles or flat surfaces. There is a 4" dust port to help contain the dust and debris and an outer drum support to use while sanding curves or profiles. The belt tension control and belt tracking control are easily accessible. The belt speed of 3900 sanding feet per minute on this oscillating belt will increase belt life.
