The JET JWDS-2244 Drum Sander is equipped with a powerful 1.75-horsepower motor that can handle various sanding tasks with ease. The innovative tool-less parallelism system simplifies adjustments and allows for easy positioning of the worktable with just a turn of the parallelism dial. With a variable-speed rate, you can select the optimal feed rate for different projects, and the Sandsmart™ feature ensures that the load on the drum motor is continuously monitored to prevent overload situations.

The dust hood of the sander is designed with a mirrored layout to optimize dust collection and prevent chips and dust from interfering with the workpiece and the finish. The JET JWDS-2244 Drum Sander provides everything needed for a smooth finish. The Sandsmart control continuously monitors the drum motor load and automatically adjusts the speed of the conveyor motor.

Adjusting the conveyor bed parallelism is easy with the dial on the outside of the bed, and no tools are required for this task. The parallelism adjust dial also includes a stop for quickly returning the conveyor bed to a flat position. Additionally, the dust hood incorporates a patented integrated channel that directs chips and dust to the 4" collection port.

The precision-machined and dynamically-balanced drum is designed to dissipate heat and protect the work surface from heat damage. Furthermore, the redesigned conveyor system pulls the workpiece through the sander instead of pushing, ensuring a more efficient sanding process.
